In partnership with IEP_Berlin, GRASS organized an advocacy visit to Berlin. The meetings were held at Federal Chancellery and Federal Foreign Office of Germany. With the Chancellery and Foreign Office representatives, GRASS discussed domestic developments in Georgia as well as GRASS's recent research paper that analyzes how Abkhazia could benefit from the overall process of Georgia’s Europeanization, including the possibility of applying the benefits of the EU-Georgia free trade to businesses and consumers in Abkhazia. The advocacy visit to Berlin also included meetings with Democracy Reporting International, Berlin Center for Caspian and Eurasian Studies, the Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOiS). During the visit, round table discussion was organized with the participation of prominent German think tanks, NGOs, where GRASS presented its working paper -"One step closer – Georgia, EU-integration, and the settlement of the frozen conflicts?". The discussion was organized in partnership with ECFR-Berlin. Special thanks to the Institute for European Politics (Institut für Europäische Politik) for organizing the visit to Berlin and to European Council of Foreign Relations (ECFR Berlin) for hosting GRASS’s presentation. The visit to Berlin was organized in the framework of the project “Europeanization beyond process”, funded by Open Society Initiative for Europe (OSIFE).
