Based on the Guiding Principles of Durable Solutions for IDPs, project team conducted activities aiming at identifying and addressing specific needs of privately accommodated IDPs (housing, social assistance, access to services, access to information and other needs) in a comprehensive manner. In addition, the project fostered public dialogue in order to facilitate informed policy and decision-making process. Through the project GRASS carried out surveys among the IDP in different regions of Georgia. Additionally, the project examined the standpoints of various stakeholders and scrutinized them in the final policy paper, which was issued in late 2013. As a result of this project Ministry of IDPs received recommendations on the most acceptable policy solutions for the IDPs accommodated in the private accommodations.

Project was supported by East West Management Institutes G-PAC program.
