Familiarizing Abkhaz Community with Europeanization Processes in Black Sea Region

The project aimed at promoting confidence building between Abkhaz and Georgian interlocutors by bringing together young experts/scholars/practitioners from Sokhumi and Tbilisi, as well as from Ukraine, Russia, Moldova and Romania for 2-day high level seminar in Bucharest and sharing experience about each country’s approach towards Europeanization processes and conflict related issues. The project examined Black Sea area countries’ (Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Russia) relations with the European Union as well as EU’s role in promoting conflict settlement process in the Black Sea area. During the project, through planned activities it was analyzed how the ongoing Europetanization process in the Black Sea region applies to the conflict regions and what positive effect it could have on the conflicts resolution.
