With support from Google News Initiative, the European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN) coordinated and enabled a collaboration among its European fact-checking member organisations ahead of the European elections in 2024. ELECTIONS 24 CHECK project aimed to increase cross-country collaboration in detecting and debunking European election related disinformation across Europe while promoting access to verified information for European citizens so that they can make informed voting decisions.
Within the project a fact-checking database focused on the 2024 European Elections was set up. Within the project, FactCheck Georgia shared its political fact-checks, disinformation debunks and pre-bunking articles related to European elections to the database.
